In a fantastic example of political opportunism, Tory candidate, Ed Matts, has doctored a photo of himself supporting a local asylum seeker to fit in with the party’s anti-immigration stance in the run-up to the election. The Guardian Election Blog is inviting contributions from readers to improve the image further.
Oh yes, and apparently they don’t want to be called “Tories” any more.
