Visitors from afar

Iran has been the highest listed non-US country in my server log for three of the last four months. I’m expecting a visit from the CIA at any minute.

Meta Efficient

I came across this great site the other day: Meta Efficient – A Guide to the Most Efficient Things in the World. They consider something metaefficient if it is:

• Affordable
• Durable
• Non-Polluting and Non-Toxic
• Resource and Energy Effective
• Portable (where possible)

The focus is on effective heating, cooling, electricity, drinking water production, and other essential topics. But they review lots of other stuff too, like this emissions-neutral motorbike, or these ultra-light hammocks. Also check out the logs made from coffee grounds and the earth-sheltered houses. That last one will have to wait a while I think.
